Our list covers 101 towns from every part of Germany, including the largest cities and the towns people search for most. For each we read the town’s page, its gazette or the ordinance and entered every date with its area, occasion, hours and source. Where we found no official notice, the list says “no source”, even if newspapers or aggregator sites name a date: such claims are often out of date or refer to a Sunday that has since been cancelled. “Pending” means the town has published nothing for that year yet. For 19 towns the 2027 dates are already known. Towns with their own page are linked in the table; the rest can be found with the search in the date finder on the home page. If your town is missing, send us the link to its ordinance through the contact page and we will check it and add it.

The figure in the 2026 and 2027 columns counts entries, not Sundays: a town releasing the same Sunday for three districts has three entries. That is why Essen, Cologne or Stuttgart show high numbers although each district stays within its state’s maximum.

Common questions

Why does a large town show “no source”?

Because we found no official notice for it: no ordinance in the gazette, no page of the town and no statement from its marketing body. Some towns publish their Sundays only in press releases that vanish after a while. As soon as an official source appears, we add the dates.

How often is the town list checked?

Every town is re-read at each update, above all between November and February, when councils adopt the ordinances for the new year. The date of the last check appears with each source. We add cancellations and court decisions once the town announces them.

Can I report a missing town?

Yes, through the contact page. The link to the ordinance, the general order or the town’s page helps most. We add a town only once we have read the official source ourselves; we do not copy dates from advertising or aggregator sites, even if they may be right.
